Go right off the beaten track with our signature tour of our favorite barrio (and theme of our blog), Recoleta. This is a privte, family friendly tour that shows you the real side of working class Santiago and is fully customizable and good for those who have accessibility concerns.

Photographers and artists will revel in the street art and bohemian vibe of Bellavista, which shoppers will also appreciate thanks to its high selection of locally made handicrafts. We visit the metaphorical heart of the city, La Vega central market, to learn about Chilean cuisine, as well as the General Cemetery – one of the largest in South America – to uncover some of Santiago´s darkest and most interesting secrets. We then visit Cerro Blanco hill, former site of Ines de Suarez´s first religious shrine in Chile and the Piedras Tacitas, the largest collection of pre-Columbian rock holes in all of the America´s. Here you also have the opportunity to learn about the original people of Chile, such as the Mapuche and Aymara, to whom this hill is sacred.
